Healthcare Legal Specialist

Position CORP - Specialist Legal 3

What You Will Do:

Assists attorneys in preparation and/or review of documents, collection of documents and other administrative support. Deals with highly confidential matters and may act as a source of organizational policies and procedures.

Essential Job Duties:

* Prepare and draft legal correspondence
* Collect and analyze legal correspondence
* Handle legal related phone calls
* Contracts administration support
* Legal risk management process support
* Business and healthcare permits/licensure support
* Corporate business records support
* Legal matter tracking and invoicing/payment support
* Support related to Third Party Administrator and Insurer Processes and Communications
* Legal matter update/reporting support
* Medical Record Request intake and processing support
* General Legal Intake process support
* Records management process support
* Communicate with outside legal counsel on current and potential legal matters
* Coordinate and assist outside legal counsel with legal discovery and company documents
* Coordinate with Living Centers on legal discovery and document matters
* Coordinate with state/local governmental agencies regarding subpoenas and other requests for information
* Support for internal HR, legal and compliance investigations as needed


* High School Diploma
* Healthcare, Skilled Nursing Facility, contracts/corporate in-house experience preferred
* Paralegal or Legal Assistant Certification preferred
* Type a minimum of 50 WPM
* Proficient with MS Office and Excel computer based software
* Must be capable of maintaining regular attendance
