GENERAL PURPOSE

Responsible for the design and execution of the business development plan which includes conducting market analysis, generating qualified leads and making sales calls on behalf of the assigned center(s) to achieve the sales plan target(s). Lead sales strategies and initiatives that promote the center(s) services and clinical expertise and programs. Coordinates external events that position the center(s) as the provider of choice in the market.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES

  • Gather and analyze local market data to determine community needs and identify qualified leads
  • Design and review the LivingCenter(s) 30/60/90 day business development plan with the Executive Director and Director of Nursing Services for approval to execute
  • Conduct business development calls/visits outside the LivingCenter(s) to include, but not limited to health care providers, Physicians, senior organizations, appropriate special interest groups, and other community contacts.
  • Maintain existing community relationships and develop new ones
  • Leverage sales CRM software to track and report on business development activities
  • Organize and host special events and presentations targeted at community education, establishing and maintaining relationships for the LivingCenter(s)
  • Presents program offerings that support the needs of existing and prospective customers to enhance business development

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Clinical, healthcare, or related industry experience
  • Bachelors degree preferred
  • Minimum two (2) years experience in outside sales, business development, marketing or related experience
  • Experience in healthcare related lead generation preferred
  • Experience in post acute or acute organization preferred
  • Clinical or Healthcare leadership experience background preferred
  • Knowledge of healthcare delivery system including levels of care and reimbursement models is preferred
  • Must be capable of maintaining regular attendance

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES & BEHAVIORS

  • Must be able to maintain confidentiality regarding patient and company proprietary information
  • Must have the ability to relate professionally and positively and work cooperatively with other employees at all levels
  • Must have the ability to read, write and follow oral and written directions at a level necessary to accomplish the job
  • Knowledge and experience with Managed Care, Medicare, state specific Medicaid regulations and electronic referral management
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks with changing priorities
  • Ability to work without management oversight
  • Experience with Microsoft office and aptitude to learn company specific systems
  • Effective oral communication skills
  • Understanding and working knowledge of services and programs offered to support community needs

PHYSICAL AND SENSORY REQUIREMENTS

Mobility, reaching, bending, lifting (minimum of 10 pounds), fine hand coordination, ability to read and write, the ability to understandand follow written and oral instructions and directions, ability to travel, and ability to remain calm under pressure.
